Juneteenth Lecture & Tour
Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion

Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, is a holiday celebrating the end of slavery in the United States at the end of the Civil War.

In honor of Juneteenth, join us for an enlightening afternoon on the history of slavery at Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion through a lecture on the Brown’s nursemaid Emma by Curator of Education Kierstin Veldkamp and our specialty tour: Labor Behind the Veil which explores in depth the history of slavery and African Americans at the Mansion.

The lecture is free and open to the public.

The tour is $8 for adults/seniors, $4 for students, and free to Georgia College faculty, staff, and students.

Come for both or only one!
