Celebrate Our Roots First Friday

Milledgeville Main Street has teamed up with the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), Allied Arts, and the Old Governor’s Mansion to celebrate historic downtown Milledgeville.

The CVB invites downtown visitors to tour the past aboard a FREE trolley ride destined for a multitude of museums, a learning excursion led by their expert trolley guide. Historic stops include the Marlor House, Sallie Ellis Davis House, Allen’s Market and Georgia’s Old Governor’s Mansion.

The Trolley will pick up at the crosswalk located on the 100 block of West Hancock St. (Near Buffingtons) and will operate on a continuous loop from 6-8pm to connect historic sites with downtown.
The Old Governor’s Mansion will offer free tours every half hour beginning at 6PM.

Dr. Bob Wilson and Sandra Jones will give tours of the “Structures and Sites” photography exhibit it the Allen’s Market building.

The Marlor House will also be open for architectural tours as well as having the GMC exhibition “Articulate your Story” on display for guests to view. They will be open from 5 – 7:30 PM

There will be live jazz music, kids activities, balloon art and even a performance from the Lakeview Academy Chorus!
