Each month, storytellers gather at Allen’s Market to share their tales based on a central theme. Prepare to laugh, cry, and listen to Milledgeville’s great storytellers. Storytelling is a partnership between Allied Arts, professional storyteller Jeanette Waddell, and WRGC 88.3.

Monroe Crossing: An Evening of Bluegrass Music
Allen’s Market, 101 W. McIntosh Street
Monroe Crossing will present a bluegrass concert in the historic Allen’s Market building in downtown Milledgeville. Named in honor of Bill Monroe, “The Father of Bluegrass Music,” the band entertains audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals. The group plays an average of 125 shows a year at major venues and festivals, frequently for non-bluegrass audiences – and people often comment that they’d never really liked bluegrass music until they attended a Monroe Crossing concert.

Allied Arts Storytelling: “Give Thanks”

Each month, storytellers gather at Allen’s Market to share their tales based on a central theme. Prepare to laugh, cry, and listen to Milledgeville’s great storytellers. Storytelling is a partnership between Allied Arts, professional storyteller Jeanette Waddell, and WRGC 88.3.
Allied Arts invites you to an afternoon of storytelling at Allen’s Market in downtown Milledgeville. This storytelling concert is a collaboration between Allied Arts, Inc., WRCG 88.3, Georgia College National Public Radio affiliate and professional storyteller Jeanette Waddell. June’s storytelling theme is “Honoring the Men that Inspires Us” and features students, singers, and other passionate storytellers including Harriet Davis, James Watkins, Eric Jones, and Sherry Morrison.

Jazz with Julie Eyerly & the Quartet

Allied Arts presents an evening of jazz with Julie Eyerly at the historic Allen’s Market in downtown Milledgeville. Eyerly will be joined by the musical melody of Zach Farr on guitar, Steven Ledbetter on drums, Walter Cornwell on piano, and Matthew Billingsley on upright bass. This event is free & open to the public.

Allied Arts presents a performance by the lively and colorful Diego Figueiredo Trio, playing a fusion of Jazz, Bossa Nova, & Classical music.
Diego Figueiredo (pron. Fig-Uh-Ray-Doe) is considered one of the most talented guitar players in the world today & is the winner of several important competitions including the Montreux Jazz Competition and the VISA Prize.
